Household Chores

Every week I make it a priority to clean my house (sweeping the floors, vacuuming, cleaning each bathroom, dusting, etc). Having people into our home helps me reach my goal. There are not many people I'd want to come over with my house not in order! To me the worst kind of chores are the ones that just have to be done over and over again. Housecleaning looks great when it's done...for about 5 minutes. Then the dust settles back down, the kids get the toys out again, the baby drops Cheerios on the floor, and people must use the bathroom. Now don't get me wrong...I am happy to be able to do these chores. I am thankful that God has given me the ability to clean my home and make it a haven for my family. However, I'd like to hear what your favorite or least favorite household chore is. My least favorite is definitely dusting. My most favorite (if that's possible) is laundry...I don't really mind it.

Share away! I'd love to hear what your favorite and/or least favorite household chores are. Then get cleaning! = )

Funny to be commenting on your blog when I should be cleaning...but my least fav. is definately laundry or mopping kitchen floor. My fav. is vacuuming. I don't mind dusting but should probably do it more often.

I LOVE laundry too! Especially all the baby clothes:)
Least fav would be (which is why I guess it's always dirty) is the bathrooms.

Haha... this is so funny! I hate laundry. Hate it. But am thankful for clothes. :) I hate how all the little socks get separated and how very looong the process takes, waiting for the machines to do them. I hate how it seems like you can do it for 6 hours and there is still more to do... it never seems to give (me) the satisfaction of a job finished.

I love cleaning the kitchen. I love washing the dishes, putting them all away... getting the counters cleaned off, the sink shining, and the floors mopped.

Dusting... what is dusting? LOL

Definitely looking forward to the day when I can pass ironing on to my children, but I don't mind vacuuming and dusting--I love the fresh, clean feeling it gives everything, and with a small house, it doesn't take too long. :o)

I love my fifth-wheel house when these kinds of conversations come up. It takes me about 45 minutes to do a Very Thorough job of cleaning my whole house. I remind myself of this fact when I feel coveteous of some of your big, beautiful homes. =)

I think my least favorite chore is doing the dishes. (Probably because it comes right after I have been cooking for an hour.)

My favorite chore is the laundry because I LOVE to organize and putting the clean laundry away gives me a chance to get the clothes all in order for the next week. --And I LOVE how the clothes smell and feel when they first come out of the dryer!

I enjoy doing laundry the best because the rest of family notices it! They can see their neatly folded and fresh smelling clothes, but they don't seem to see or appreciate a clean bathroom or that I have dusted. I guess I have a need to feel appreciated!
