The Privilege of Being a Stay at Home Mom

It is such a delight and an honor to now be a stay-at-home mom and wife. For several years, I had to work and I was thankful for a great job that provided the flexibility to be with my kids when necessary. However, it has made such a difference in our family for me to be at home.

An article that has provided encouragement to me can be found here.

I'm thankful for my "calling" to be a mommy to my quickly growing children and try to treasure each and every moment, knowing their childhoods will soon just be memories.

What a great article! I couldn't agree more. That article spoke to me when it said "it is only for a season." How often I forget that and think that the elementary school w/ a toddler, w/ a baby years are going to last forever. I do wonder where that comes from, "You need to get out of the house more." Says WHO? Not according to the Bible. Since it is such an ordeal to get out of the house for a big errand day, we try to plan it now that Dan does a few after work, and then I do the rest later. Great post!
