GULP...a Family Update

Due to some issues I had Monday afternoon, the doctor wanted to do an ultrasound on Tuesday. We were apprehensive but trying to remain steadfast in the Lord. I have a history of miscarriages (had 3 between Sarah and Benjamin) so it was difficult not to just assume that was what was happening again.

"For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD."

At the ultrasound, the technician quickly found TWO gestational sacs. The tech was very patient and thorough as she looked at everything. In one sac, she found a teeny baby and with patient, careful looking she finally found the heartbeat! In the other sac, she couldn't see anything but she was careful to explain that it may just be a bit too early yet. She went on to say that sometimes one baby is a little slower to develop in the beginning and with such an early ultrasound, the probe may just not have been able to pick it up. The other possibility is that I have miscarried one twin. I have another ultrasound next Thursday to see the progress and we will know more at that point.

we will be praying for you!!

but, looking on the "bright side" how exciting for two babies..!! When we went in for our first ultra sound I was hoping for two babies...but there was only one..my doctor said it is always easier to start with one baby...but i believe God will not give you something you cant handle =] maybe in the future we will have twins =]

i noticed you went to the doctors clinic, who is the OB you decided to see?!

We will be praying for God's will. I know this must be hard. Either way we will pray for God's plan.

Exciting news if you are having twins, but I'm sure a little apprehensive with the news. Prayers for you and Garth as you wait on the Lord for His will through this all.

I am super excited for your family. What a blessing to have not just one - but possibly two little ones. However, Becky - remember that if Christ chooses to allow you to mourn the loss of one sweet life - it is in His will. A peace is there if you so choose to tap into it and allow Him to quiet your heart and comfort you. That said, just know that coming home from goodbyes to my grandmother to the prospect of you carrying twins, put a smile on my face. God is worthy to be praised!
