Life's been pretty crazy busy lately so I'm late getting this pictures up. They are from our trip home from Alberta/British Columbia.
Rachel enjoyed singing at the top of her lungs. Her favorite songs are "Deep and Wide" and "If You're Happy and You Know It".
Benjamin had a pet ant that he kept in this medicine bottle on the way home. He fed it bits of chips and leaves. It was so hilarious to hear him talking to it!
This is the scenery along the highway on the way home. It was such an awesome reminder of our Creator!
My grandma is blind and memorizes tons of Scripture. Sarah loved to check Grandma's Scripture memory. Grandma taught her some verses, too!
Rachel loved sitting on Grandma's lap and "showing" Grandma her toys. I will cherish the pictures of my girls with Grandma forever!

Nearly Moving Day!
It's hard to believe that we've lived here for nearly a year already. Our lease ends July 1st so we are currently praying and looking hard for a new home, preferably closer to church. So...those of you that live close to us, we're asking for your help.
1) We need a house to rent. We would like a 3-4 bedroom home with a quiet working space for Garth (either a den, large master bedroom, or 4th bedroom would work great). We also have a cat and a dog, so the landlord would need to be okay with that. If you know of something available to rent by June 27th, please let us know.
2) I need help packing! If you have Friday free (the 19th), please come help! I am planning to start around 8 am. We are happy to provide lunch for anyone that can help. Kids are welcome, too. We have a big playroom for them and once the playing is over, we can just put the toys away in totes rather than the toybox. Please let me know if you can come. You can either comment on this post or contact me by phone or email (info is in the church directory).
3) We need help loading/unloading the truck! We are planning to move on Saturday, the 27th, after the wedding at church. We'll probably start around 4 or 5 pm and work until it's done. Again, if you can help with this, either comment on this post or contact us by phone or email (info is in the church directory). Supper will be provided.
Thanks in advance for your help and prayers during this busy time in our family's life!

Missed and So Loved
Today we honored Grandpa's life and talked of the legacy he has left here on earth in his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. We already feel the emptiness without him here drinking coffee and chatting around the dining room table. I miss him leading Grandma around and telling her what is going on. I miss him holding the babies and children on his lap and leading them around the farm to explore the barn and feed the chickens. I love him dearly.

Love You, Grandpa
This morning around 4 am my Grandpa Abbott went on to heaven to be with his Lord and Savior. The Lord blessed him with over 90 years on this earth! I am trying to focus on thinking on how much joy there is in heaven today rather than my heavy heart in missing him.
We are headed to Alberta, Canada this weekend to be with family and for the funeral. I'm looking forward to seeing my many aunts and uncles up there as well as lots of cousins.
Here's a picture that was taken in April of my brother, his son, my dad, and my grandpa. It shows 4 generations of Abbotts.

Trip to the Game Farm
Today we celebrated the warm summer weather with our first trip to the Game Farm. Lots of you have told us how fun it was...and we totally agree! One big difference between the west and east coast trips we've taken to game farms/animal safaris is that here you can actually feed the animals! That is super fun, trying to get them close to your car without actually letting them IN your car. We enjoyed feeding the animals a loaf of bread (available for purchase at the gate). The bears would stand up on their hind legs or wave "hi" for pieces of bread. Rachel started shouting "Up, Up!" at the bears because she thought their tricks were so funny. We went through the farm twice. As we were headed out of the last area for the last time, a big ol' buffalo stood right in the middle of the road and started charging our car! I'm sure it could have harmed the car if it had wanted to, but I was thankful that a little swerve around the huge animal was all it took to be on our way. It was definitely a fun ending to a great afternoon.
Note: Sorry about the poorer quality images...I'm using the "old" camera since Garth has the D90 in Buffalo.
